KeyboardOrbitCamera Class

A KeyboardOrbitCamera lets you orbit a Camera about its point-of-interest using the keyboard's arrow keys.

Overview

  • Orbiting involves rotating the Camera's eye position about its current look position.
  • The orbit is freely rotating, without gimbal-lock.
  • If desired, you can have multiple KeyboardOrbitCameras within the same Viewer.
  • Multiple KeyboardOrbitCameras can drive the same Camera, or can each drive their own separate Cameras.
  • At any instant, the KeyboardOrbitCameras we're driving is the one whose active property is true.
  • You can switch a KeyboardOrbitCameras to a different Camera at any time.

    Parent Viewer.

    • [id] String optional

      Optional ID, unique among all components in the parent viewer, generated automatically when omitted.

      Optional map of user-defined metadata to attach to this KeyboardAxisCamera.

  • [camera] Camera optional

    The Camera to control.

Removes this Component from its Viewer.
